We all know our pitch looks dreadful right now. Since the rugby moved on, our pitch has been very good for the type of football that DC wants to play. However, this season, the pitch has been shocking. Well, finally, we have answers why this is the case. Here is our head groundsman, discussing why our pitch is awful right now. Looks like we will be spending a lot of money in the summer to replace the pitch, after we spent a 6 figure sum last summer on it. I dont think our club is happy with the company who did our pitch last summer.
From what was said in the interview it would appear that the work was not overseen by someone with the necessary knowledge to make sure it was correctly done. Hopefully this time that someone will be in place
The old groundsman left his role before the work took place and the new guy didnt come in until the work was done. Which left, as you say, no one with the necessary knowledge to oversee it. Waste of money, which apparently, according to rumours by some on other forums, its money we dont have!
