Watched this last night , its the interstate rugby( league ) match between queensland and new south wales ; sort of a scotland v. england or old firm type rivalry ; no matter where players actually play they turn out for their "state of origin" team like an internationall ; pretty good and skillful with a fair sprinkling of big-hitting tackles and lots of clear aggression.Reminded me of american football without the padding or constant stop/start. I remember rugby league being two teams of grunting lard-asses covered in mud slowly trundling into each other - now , some of you may have found that attractive; I didnt - but this was fast moving and the best sport I think Ive watched apart from football obviously. this was the first game in a "best of three" series.....have a look if you get the chance , Id think some satellite or web service must show it in the u.k.
