    Stat of the day: Leon Best still has a better goal per premier legaue start ratio then Torres

    8 goals in 13 Premier league games isn't to be knocked.

    Is he really that ****???

    8 goals in 11 starts. You should only count the starts IMO, it's the only fair way. His other two games were 20 minute cameos.

    True but you have to start counting them if he comes on as a sub then scores I suppose.

    I thought before he got injured last season he was starting to become a good bullying striker, putting defenders under pressure.

    His second was well worked by all involved.

    Fair enough. But if you're comparing him to someone else at least, you should consider how many games were starts and how many were sub apps.

    I dont understand what it is with Best... his goal record is great so far and when he gets a chance he scores... but everytime I see him I just think "you're ****" why is that?

    Maybe because he's not ****? He gets goals sometimes from good composure and finishing, and sometimes from being the right place at the right time.

    Most of Bents goals are 6 yard tap ins, it doesn't matter does it?

    Leon Best has a strikers instinct and knows where the ball could potentially land and he's there to finish. <ok>

    He's not very fast and looks like the offside rule was hastily taught to him by Shola but he keeps popping up with goals. Has a good positional instinct (not unlike Nolan) and is a good finisher.

    Good finisher, decent movement. and HE'S A GOAL THREAT. So currently he's probably our best striker until we buy one OR Demba Ba steps up to the plate. <ok>
