Premier League boss, Greece, UAE: What happened to Lee Johnson’s 63 Bristol City signings in pictures https://www.bristolworld.com/sport/...stol-city-signings-in-pictures-4016435?page=2 No doubt about it, a few diamonds, a few cultured pearls and a lot of duffers, we live and learn.
Its odd that in the Scottish Premiership, which is effectively a competition between Rangers and Celtic every year, how all the other teams in that league have negative goal differences with the exception of Hearts. 'Streaky' is currently on a winning streak at Hibs after being pretty close to the sack a few short games ago I reckon. But it's still a nothing job in a nothing league with little or nothing to play for.
Aren't we too currently in a winning (or at least 'unbeaten') 'streak', after a run of poor results led SOME people to question their faith in Nige.... Long may it continue!!
Agree, a lot of loans in this pile of players. Several still at the club, several sold for profits never seen before, or since at City. And a lot of nothing that were hard to remember were ever even at the club. For context, I'd be interested to see how the 63 (or 65 as RP states) compare to other Championship sides who didn't get promoted, or relegated during that same timespan. Is that number high, low, or about averge, it's hard for us to tell, but it seems high to me. Out of all of them, the one who has fallen the furthest is O'Dowda

I loved looking at where the many players who were with us for some time, and where they are now but each page started with a photo of "you know who" which was a shame.
you cannot change history or those or events that make it Mike.. maybe in the next5 or 6 games we may get closer to the heights we were at back then?
Our aim was promotion and after 4 1/2 years we didn’t achieve it. For all the money we spent we failed. Let’s hope at some point in my lifetime we actually achieve it
You (and many other say) all the money we spent, but the reality is in terms of net transfer spend we were on the very healthy side of positive. What killed us was crazy wages on the contracts. Yes, we spent a lot, but we recouped far more in transfer fees than we spent. We never kept our best assets together long enough to mount a really consistent play-off/promotion challenge. I have said before, I don't think SL really, truly wanted it as the cost to be in the PL was/is too high for his liking.
