I saw this in WOL, agree or disagree, if so what would your starting XI be come the Chelsea game. I know it is early days but nice to speculate and have the odd disagreement. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/swansea-city-xi-fans-think-9614805
Wouldn't disagree too much but maybe bearing in mind it's Chelsea away I'd play Shelvey in place of Montero.
Ki Centre midfield looking forward Cork next to Ki but DM Ayew Left wing, his natural position, aparently he defends well too. Taylor advancing full back (not wing-back) to just passed halfway, feeding midfielders ahead of him and not attacking the box. Shelvey AM to draw defenders on to him due to his long range threat, mainly there to feed and play off Gomis Siggy centre-right midfield not right wing. Right of cenetre he'll still be an influence in midfield, out wide he has little. Naughton, as wing-back to provide over lap and width on the right. The first few games we'll be ropey as, according to Shelvey, Monk will change things up with different styles and systems. The players will be comfortable in second half of season when we'll come good I predict, but don't go betting your house, or even your luncheon vouchers on it
We are playing some very good teams during pre season so i expect monk will play many combinations and formations during that time. The results dont really matter but it would be nice to win all the same. I expect that by the time we play our last big game at the liberty monk will have a good idea on who he will play and the team he does pick for the last game will be close if not spot on who he will play against Chelsea....
