I know allen is likely to have a change around regularly, but what would your line up be now that we have pretty much a full squad. Heres mine. ... I think ...... Gk nelson Lb martin Cb barrett Cb legge Rb fish Cdm gregory Mid whelpdale Mid allen Mid lazigini Fw bayo Fw cody Sub dack Sub weston Sub davies Sub kedwell Sub german Wow look at that bench alone!!!?
----------Nelson--------- Fish-------Legge---Barratt--Martin-- Linganzi--Weston--Whelpdale--Dack ------------Bayo----McDonald--- Attack, Attack, Attack, Attack, Attack.

Nelson (GK) Legge (CB) Barrett (CB) Fish (RWB). Gregory (DCM). Martin (LWB) Whelpdale (RCM). Linganzi (LCM) Kedwell (ACM) Akinfenwa (FWD). McDonald (FWD) Good spine down the middle of the park. A formation of 23212 can also give us width. Although it is slightly unusual I think it could work.
Nelson Akinfenwa Legge Barrett Akinfenwa Akinfenwa Linganzi Akinfenwa Akinfenwa McDonald Kedwell I've gone for power but I'm sure that will walk this league.
This selection and formation intrigues me. I also note it interesting that starting selections so far with the exception of grumpygit are lacking a certain Weston, so at last recognition you all agree with me then - lol
Gk Nelson LB Martin CB Barrett CB Legge RB Fish RM Whelpdale CM Linganzi LM Dack CAM Kedwell ST Bayo ST Cody Sub A keeper? Maybe Forecast Sub Davies Sub Gregory Sub Allen Sub Weston Sub German WE SCORE WHEN WE WANT!
Weston on for a bit of width when we need him - I like width! Gregory too good not to start ! This does look a good team - we would have walked L2 last year! Roy
I really like the look of that team, I feel that we would be strong going forward as well as at the back which makes it a really good team. I think that my team would be some something like what brb has been talking about and it would be this ---------------------------Nelson--------------------- ------Fish--------Legge----------Barrett-------Martin ----------Whelpdale----Linganzi-----Dack-------- --------------------------Kedwell---------------------- --------------Akinfenwa---------McDonald------------- I am a fan of 4-1-2-1-2 and I feel yours is similar to mine with the only difference of having the full backs in an advanced position which is good however it may mean that they leave us open too much and we don't want that. I feel that we could play the 4-1-2-1-2 with the players that we have and it would be like this. Nelson Fish RB Legge CB Barrett CB Martin LB Gregory CDM Whelpdale RCM Linganzi LCM Kedwell CAM Akinfenwa ST McDonald ST This would work with Linganzi swapping with Dack from time to time and also we could also swap Dack with Gregory and then push Gregory back into the CDM position. ---------------------------Nelson--------------------- ------Fish--------Legge----------Barrett-------Martin ------------------------Gregory--------------------- ------------Whelpdale-------------Linganzi------------ ------------------------Kedwell---------------------- --------------Akinfenwa---------McDonald------------- I feel that this would be useful and going back to your idea of having Martin and Fish in advanced positions, I feel that this would give them the freedom to do this but this will still be a good defensive side as Whelpdale and Linganzi can then protect the flanks so that we don't become exposed. I feel that this would work well as I think that Whelpdale can play the central position, but if this is not what we wanted to do then we could still play Whelpdale out wide and then play Dack out wide on the other side and then play either Linganzi or Gregory in the central defensive midfield position. It is exciting with all the options that we have to change things as I feel this will give us more chance of being successful.
Nice to see that everyone wants Gregory in. He got a lot of stick when he first joined us, but seems to have settled in well, and I think he could be an ever present like Barrett and Legge. Weston, to me, is a typical lower league winger. On his day, at certain times during the match, he can be a world beater, but you never know when he comes on the pitch, if its going to be his day or not. Too risky in my opinion,to start him, and better off bringing him on later in the game against tiring defenders. That is what Brentford used to do, but then he gets cheesed off at not starting, so I can see him being shipped out in January, unless his consistency improves.
I am one who rates Gregory highly, said from the start he has something about him, even when he was making mistakes I could see that he had a future and I had faith that he would get better and better as he just looks a good player.
I don't want him in!!1 His short game is bloody shocking for a professional at any level, he was in the team as we didnt have Payne, with Langanzi here now Gregory will NOT be starting. Granted his long balls can be inch perfect but unless we are setting up for hoofball his short passing is weak at best and a liability at worst.
I still not overly impressed with Gregory, not a certain starter for me. Nelson Fish Legge Barrett Martin Linganzi Dack Whelpdale ?New signing Cody Kedwell
Considering all the hype I am surprised nobody has considered; Cody Cody, Cody, Cody, Cody Cody Cody, Cody, Cody Cody, Cody
This time last year many people did not want Fish or Martin in the team and now it's hard to imagine a team without them. Gregory has improved and I'm sure he will continue to improve, much like Fish and Martin have done.
I do still have a concern when it comes to the whole team. I think we lack a "dead ball specialist", someone who can cause havoc at corners and especially free kicks. I feel we miss out on 15+ goals a season with our inability to capitalise on these situations.
