Pickford's going to miss most of the friendly calendar. Mannone Jones----Kone----Kaboul----PVA Catts-----Hoff Borini-----------Khazri-------Watmore Defoe Think that's our strongest team without signings. Leaving no depth at all. It's fragile.

Borini........lens.......khazri..... ..................defoe............. May sound daft, what with all the problems etc. But with the exeption of Jones. I still think that aint a bad team.

Spot on. AJ's work rate was very poor. He seemed to average about one defensive action per game, but he could spot and slot in a pass in the attacking third. Now Kirchoff pulls the strings from our own half of the pitch.
My point was that the cart is pulling the horse. If we were to make only one major signing this summer, I'd hope for a play making attacking mid. After goalkeepers, aren't right backs the lowest paid players? If so, this would suggest an ample supply. We ought to be able to sort that out well enough. When Defoe picks up a knock or a tweek, we've got Borini, Lens and Watmore to fill in.
Whatever happened to that Gomez fella? Is he still a safc player or did he get bought. Or have i just imagined him.
