    1. Samuel, I said previously he was improving and you could see the frustration of things not going for him. Today that all changed and netted twice. Deservedly MOM and my Star Player.

    2. Graham, who else, class act once again. The sad side is we are never going to be able to afford to keep him. Sometimes I want to pause him for the others to get into position and he needs to be more eagle eyed across the pitch of play, but if it wasn't for Graham, I'd have probably packed my bags by now.

    3. Oliver for the goal. I still want to see more from him but a great ball across the face of goal, shame Coyle couldn't have read the movement better but it's the one thing that's lacking that ability of psychic connectivity. grumpygit will tell me I'm chatting BS again. <laugh>

Well done also to Jackson, O'Gilvie and Dempsey.

    2. Graham.

Dempsey would have been my third choice, I allowed the goal to steal it for Oliver.

I'm thinking about buying a whole load of cotton wool -with which to wrap Graham....... I 'd hate to think what we'd do without him........ We've seen, a couple of times this season, teams doubling up on him - to snuff out our ( only ) threat.
.... I think that we can assume that Graham will win this Thread --- I might stop voting to give others a chance -- as long as Patchy takes me seriously when i nominate the post and crossbar

Must admit, I'm guilty of giving the goal scorers the majority of the points yesterday, when in reality, Graham probably should have been given top spot and Dempsey should have been in my top three. But I've tried to share the points around. Like you, I observed yesterday when on one ocassion Graham was surrounded by four opposing players! However, there is a failing in tactics here by the manager/coach. When we had Bayo, because of his size, he would attract the same attention, but he was often used to open up space for Cody, maybe if teams are going to start showing Graham this sort of attention, then we need to be using it to our advantage.

Can't argue with that, if the player of the year was voted on today, Graham would win hands down.
I do try to share it around a little bit, the trouble is one week you struggle to find any star player, and the next they all deserve it.

Yup, I'm starting to try and do that and share it around a bit. I think there are players that perform consistantly throughout but rarely get the points. By that I mean players like Jackson and Dempsey.

I still don't rate our keeper, I think Lumley (have i spelt that right) to me demonstrated why. <whistle>

Once again I have to agree with you, I tended to feel that Lumley gave me and the defense a lot of confidence.
