Are we allowed to vote for Millen ? .... at least he managed to stop the opposition !...
and as for the ' snail-of-the-week ' award -- only one contender ; Sean Williams (nice chap- shame about his legs.)

edit ... I might put myself forward for the 'wisest' Gills fan of the day !.... I decided not to go to Walsall - I had a 'bad' feeling of a poor performance - but didn't expect to be thrashed.... and I didn't even waste a £10 on ifollow (( too engrossed with the Cricket World Cup. ))..... Instead I spent a lovely afternoon with Mrs. A... we went through various sites on the internet - and managed to select , order and pay for ALL the Christmas presents we're getting for various members of our family (( obviously not for each-other.)).. They'll be delivered by the middle of the week - and wrapped before Notts County come to show us how to stuff a turkey !

I did pay £10 and wished I hadn't, this is difficult but I will give it my best shot...

    1. Ogie for the best shot on goal all game, really a shame it didn't go in even if we still lost - this guy not only defends he runs the wing like a man possessed but by a good spirit, and shoots on goal like an established striker, he's wasted here he really is. Just one minor moan, he looked like he'd given up for their second goal, but I wouldn't blame him to be perfectly honest.

    2. Bonne for finding his scoring boots again to knock in Mahoneys saved shot, all created by Jayden Clarke.

    3. Jefferies bit of a strange one this for me, I felt he was trying to make some sense of what was going on today tactically, and getting frustrated with it. Like him, I wasn't sure once again what we were trying to do in front of goal, but it seemed like he was trying to take some leadership role. But what do I know, anyway he's my third choice.

I'll just say I thought Walsall were very good defensively today, and it could easily have been a game of 4-3, even another 4-5 like Hereford those many moons ago, with only one thing lacking, we were never going to score! <laugh> Sorry.

    1. Ogie
    2. Jefferies
    3. Clarke

How a defender gets MOTM in a 4-1 I am not sure but probably shows how awful The Gills were Jefferies got a vote for not giving up and Clarke for looking like he cared. Walsall keeper made a couple of great saves, and on another day we could have scored 3 or 4 to match theirs but the lack of pressure in the middle of the pitch as they carved the great holes from which they created there chances was shocking and I might suggest we were never that open with Harris in charge.

I hope we have the new manager in charge before next weekend because Notts Co will be licking their lips at playing against us the way we played yesterday.

Something I meant to mention, everytime I see George Lapslie, I keep thinking Chris Whelpdale, no idea why, maybe it's just the number 7 shirt and a similar build.
