What a game, first 15 minutes Notts County were all over us, they could eaily have been two or three nil up, but once they did score it inspired us into life and what a transformation against one of the leagues top scoring sides, it could have even been 1-4 in the end if the ball had not some how roll the goal line but not cross it, league performance of the season anyone? And we are in the play-offs leap-frogging our opponents. I don't even know who to choose, so I'm going to keep it simple, all the goal scorers... 1. Masterson who was also an assist 2. Hawkins 3. Max Clark More of the same please.
Three Gillingham goals and even worth waiting unti the end for the one that just didn't want to go in...
Great performance, possibly the hardest choice this season. 1. Masterson - brilliant at both ends 2. J Williams - his best game in a Gills shirt 3. Clark - Another who was good in both attack and defence Hawkins unlucky to miss out and thought it looked like Walker and he are starting to gel as a pairing.
I nearly selected J Williams but I admit to a bit of bias in favour of him, so wasn't sure if it was just my bias showing through.
1. Masterson 2. Ehmer 3, Williams ........So - we got a bit lucky ! Nearly 'swamped ' in the first 15/20 minutes - but - despite only 29% possession, I thought that Gills used it well. You could see why Notts County score a lot - but - their defending was very poor. Not too many complaints - - but - it would be churlish of me after a good, gritty performance.
Well done. Gills. Did not see that coming especially with Dieng Clark and Williams coming in.Although expected Williams instead of Lapslie. 3 goals after being behind and very unlucky not to get at least 2 more especially Dieng. Mom Masterson Hawkins Dieng Obviously the whole team deserves massive praise. On to Tuesday and we must get another performance and win to cement that play off place
