1 Oliver - two well taken goals 2. Tucker - good goal, and a goal-saving block in 1st half. 3. Dempsey - really good work ethic - and good assist
All about consistency for me... 1. Oliver beaming with confidence and consistently scoring now and deserves all the applause he gets. 2. Tucker first league goal, another player that consistently gives his all and none more so than in the first half. 3. Cundy, not sure if this lad has any scores on the board, but at last adding some consistency in defence.
Really good performance from all the players. Easily could have been 3 other players in top 3 but 1Oliver two terrific goals 2 Tucker good finish and playing well again with a solid back 4 3 Dempsey again. Hope we can keep him, when was his last bad game. Oliver now has 11or 12 for season been excellent signing
This was a game where there was a good, honest 100% commitment from all the players - even my 'friend' Jackson. The goal we conceded was sloppy defending - but - we have L1 players, and that sort of thing will therefore happen.... but our desire to compete for everything, together with a couple of pieces of skill and 3 beautiful goals, shows that we can be much better than some miserable results we've had this ( and other ) season... Let's enjoy, and savour the occasion.
1. Jack Tucker - Outstanding performance at the back from Jack. Well taken goal, unbelievable recovery to get a very important block in the first half and didn't make any mistakes thereafter. Took a head injury also but that for me was Jack Tucker back to his best. 2. Vadaine Oliver - Scored two goals. Enough said. 3. Stuart O'Keefe - Incredibly industrious performance from Stuart. Having a natural leader with a never say die attitude allowed players like Dempsey to get further forwards. Works so hard and can go under the radar but a great performance from Stuart. Notable mentions for the skipper and how hard he worked for the second goal and also for Robbie Cundy, also looked pretty solid and proving to be a good partner for Tucker.
A great positive article on the official site; https://www.gillinghamfootballclub.com/news/2021/march/tucker--we-know-what-we-are-capable-of/
