What a load of rubbish ! Incredibly, I find myself awarding my No.1 spot to the player I wouldn't have in my squad - let alone first 11... Max Clarke - at least he put in a few half-decent crosses - including the corner for Dieng's goal. Having given Max pole position ( I probably would have been better off watching the Formula 1 race ), I am probably doing a disservice to the 78 Harrogate fans....... maybe they had heard that Gills have become easier to beat than Man City ........ thank you Spurs (( my 'other' team )) for restoring a bit of pleasure for my weekend. )) ...... I could continue my rant - but - I will leave it to superior trolls than me in other forums.
Yes, there is something very very wrong at the club. Quick out of the blocks at the start of the season and then nothing. The team set up certainly isn't an attacking one and at home we should be 'fortress Priestfield'....Ha. This has quickly turned into a tragedy and our season as promotion hopefuls has surely now gone.
Well that was awful. Awful conditions but Gills have been going so far backwards it's ridiculous. Manager has to take a lot of the blame. Our top scorer Clarke on the bench and only coming on near the end If Gills lose against Bromley I can't see how Bonner can survive. Anyway mom although no-one really deserves it Williams Clark Dieng
Was a very poor match to watch. I'd say we had the better of the first half whilst not really having an effort on target but we looked like we were perhaps handling the conditions slightly better than our opposition. Again start of the second half and we looked the better side and got our goal after a good amount of corners. After that went in though, I could have wound the clock back a few months as the team did what its done under the previous two managers and rested on its laurels that they were 1-0 up rather than go for more. After that it was pretty much a disaster of an afternoon once Nevitt hit the post. Terrible conditions, terrible play, terrible substitutions and terrible refereeing. Clear penalty denied along with the most ridiculous call to deny us a corner in the second half and giving Lapslie the softest yellow you could ever see. Not one of the history books and not our finest hour. As for a top three players? Scraping the bottom of the barrel with this. 1. Dieng (for scoring a goal) 2. Hutton (for wanting to go forwards albeit with no assistance) 3. Wyllie (for running around a lot)
