'Star' player ! - a contradiction in terms ...and if it wasn't for two great saves, first from Ogie, then Turner, Gills would have (( once again )), have lost to the team in bottom place in the division.
    1. Over 6000 idiots who paid very good money - and didn't even get to see the excitement of drying paint!
    2. Turner
    3.Ogie
    4. Hawkins................................... but -

What does Clemence say to the players - that constantly cause them to play backwards, backwards, sideways, backwards, to Turner, sideways, backwards .......... It's absolute crap. It achieves nothing in terms of getting close to the opposition goal...... ends up in losing possession - and boring me to the point of clinical depression.
I can only assume that all this nonsense is an instruction from Clemence - otherwise he would surely insert rockets into orifices ((( or, perhaps he should " )))

The 'entertainment' is dreadful....For a few minutes in the 2nd half, Gills decided to venture into the opposition half - but - that didn't last long...and once FGR equalised, there was really only one team likely to score a winner -- and they weren't wearing blue !.... and it wouldn't have flattered the visitors if they won the match.

The only possible explanation for the ultra, ultra defensive tactics, is that the players are NOT good enough - and we have to hope to steal a point or three from a cheap corner - because we just cannot create anything (meaningful), from open play......If this is the case, then the whole lot of them can 'go.'....... and maybe, I too should 'go' elsewhere on a Saturday afternoon - because if I continue to waste my time hoping for something to excite me at Priestfield, my next season ticket might as well be with The Samaritans.

Not a great performance from the Gills and no one really stood out.
In the second half before we scored we actually looked decent running at Forest Green and got goal that we deserved. It looked like we would go on to win easily. That changed when they scored and suddenly we looked like the team who were going to lose.
    Mom
Turner (made 2 very important saves in second half)
Hutton( decent debut and crossing good, shame forwards not so good )
Lapslie ( playing well second half , until took off)
How we are still near play offs is incredible. We look more like bottom 7 side rather than top 7

Another poor performance, we play with so little passion and I fear that the lack of a sense of urgency seems to be down to the manager. We never grab a game by the scruff of the neck, its all to careful.

    1. Hutton
    2. Lapslie
    3. Mahoney

Not going to blame the strikers we could have Harry Kane up front and we still wouldn't score we just don't create opportunities.

Bonnes goal shouldn't have been disallowed either, I thought at the time that it came to him via a tackle and having seen it again I still think the same.

1, Lapslie looked our hardest working player until he was taken off.
2, Hutton positive debt with good crosses into the box.
3,Bonne showed good control at times and felt his goal should have stood.

Well I think it's clear isn't it, Clemence must have read this board before he started and saw how displeased you were at the team "aimlessly hoofing forwards" so came to the conclusion this must be the type of football that @alwaysright must want <laugh>

Pegleg - well done - you're in the play-off position for the person I hate most this year...........which is a damned site closer to anything to do with play-offs to which that Gills could hoof their way. (( and it's certainly not going to be achieved by walking backwards. ))
