1. Hessy - this might seem a strange choice, but i felt he was the one player that was getting stuck in well before our goals 2. Eaves - can only be, some may argue he should be the number one choice 3. O'Neill - again maybe another strange choice but i feel certainly from corners, we are making them count like teams of old Byrne would have been my fourth choice. Holy and Zak did not rank near the top three for me, Holy did not have a lot of work to do, other than one vital save and he needs to sort out his kicking. Zak is this guy carrying some sort of injury or was he just having an off day in the awful conditions. Parker needs to get more involved. When he's got the ball he's brilliant but i want to see him using that ability of his to greater more energetic level. Not the first time I've discussed this on the forum. As i say maybe strange choices from me, but it's all about opinions.
1. Luke O'Neill - Looked very good yesterday and starting to look like one of the best Right Backs we've had in a long time. Bet Southend must be kicking themselves that they let him go. 2. Jake Hessenthaler - Thought Hess had one of his best games for a long time yesterday. Really got himself involved and put some good hard running in yesterday. Best I've seen him since the 2015/16 season. 3. Lee Martin - Still puts himself about well and was unlucky not to score. Does seem to be excelling in that number 10 role under Lovell and long may it continue. Special mention also to Callum Reilly who also looks like a very astute signing.
All 4 midfielders played well. Eaves and O neil again played well Holy 2 outstanding saves so. Reilly Eaves Bryne
