    1. The hi viz steward who told the coach driver to reverse along the service road of Doncaster's car park ( only he will know why we couldn't conduct the turning manoeuvre once we had reached the coach parking area. )

    2. The ballboy - who just sat on his seat when the ball stopped 3 feet in front of him - when the ball went off the side of the pitch ( following a Doncaster 'offside' ) - resulting in Nelson having to retrieve the ball ( he wasn't happy ).

    3. The electrician - for getting the power to the floodlights in time for a 3 pm kick off. We had been told that the power cut might delay the game to 3.30pm. INCREDIBLY if this had been the case, approval would have been needed from the FA ! -- yeah, let's really cock up the team and about 300 + fans, having travelled hundreds of miles - but no - we can't wait for kick off ! Thank goodness we didn't need to rely on any common sense from the FA.

    4. Mr.Miller ( I'll let you work out to whom I refer )

ok it's silly season, I wasn't there but...

    1. Nelson because Drakey said i had too (you would need to follow twitter to understand that) <laugh>
    2. Dack because he is clearly miles better than Cody and i'd hate to say to ppl i told u so <whistle>
    3. Wright, simply for yet another game we were leading 2-0 until he went off, JE are you listening :)

All the above selections are valid within the rules, because they did play and you don't have to be at the game to participate, whereas alwaysright despite his woes and travelling faithfully hundreds of miles to follow his team are not <laugh><laugh><laugh> but I am intrigued about the yellow jacket fella, please tell us more.

Not a lot to tell - although it did get Peter Lloyd's head shaking in disbelief.
Doncaster's ground is very similar to that of Chesterfield - where we did the Hokey Cokey - entering the 'wrong' entrance road, down to an inner service road that fed the car park spaces - in which we had to perform a ridiculous turning manoeuvre, before going back onto the main road etc etc.

Well - this time, when we reached the inner service road, we were not prevented from turning LEFT to head to the rear of the stadium - towards the coach park area - but having gone just a few feet ( and still in the 'busy' main public parking area ), we were approached by a Hi Vizzer who said we needed to turn around at THAT point and reverse the rest of the way ( about 100 yards ).
The reason for this 'request' was that it was safer to turn and drive backwards ( thus creating a blind spot across the back of the coach - not forgetting that the driver wouldn't be able to easily check for pedestrians along both sides of the coach at the same time ).

It was safer to do this going backwards rather than forwards ( apparently ) - starting with a semi dangerous turn in the service road - at which point there WERE pedestrians - instead of driving forward to the coach parking places at the back of the ground - where there WEREN'T any pedestrians - AND - the road was no wider than the point where the stupid request was made.

ps - Mr.Miller did 'play' in the game ! Unfortunately for him, I placed him at No. 4, ( should have been No.1 ), therefore within the rules of this thread he won't get any points - but he certainly won a lot of prizes - mainly plums !
