1, Elliott Nevitt created both goals with positive play and caused problems with his space.
2, Jayden Clarke another goal and looked lively as ever.
3, George Lapslie we looked more dangerous going forward after he came on for Rowe who looked to missing match fitness.

    1. Nevitt..just like geoff said !
    2. .. Cheltenham goalkeeper - for keeping up pantomime season for goalkeepers this week.
    3. Lapslie

My disappointment, last night, was not so much that we again failed to beat fairly poor opposition -but - setting up with only one striker at Home against fairly poor opposition..... Nevitt worked tirelessly -but - it was obvious that he needed support... It was only when we had to chase a point that the tactics changed -- and if done so a lot earlier (( how about 7.45pm ? )), Gills would probably have won comfortably.

I know that Gills players have a limited depth of quality --- and I know that there may need to be times when we have all 11 inside our 6 yard box -- but -- there is TOO MUCH TIME during the 90+ minutes when we feebly have only one (diminutive) forward anywhere near the opponents half of the pitch - is it any wonder we don't score often ?

Gills will end up mid table..Gills probably won't lose enough to have a serious threat of relegation -but -we simply don't employ restricted resources with any hope of more than one goal a game... that won't be good enough for top 7, let alone promotion.

    I'm the same as geoff...

    1. Nevitt
    2. Jayden
    3. Lapslie

I expect Jayden would have got both goals but Lapslie beat him to it. I think we will just see this season out flirting with the play-offs, but the outcome of competing in them will depend what we do in the transfer window and the fitness/availability of players. Luck wasn't really on our side last night otherwise Dack would have had a cracker of a goal, which just goes to show sometimes you need luck and a few cogs to come together to change your fortune. They didn't reallly entertain me last night, but that's probably more me and getting tired of our inability to thrash someone.

Gills started brightly without creating much till mistake from keeper led to goal. They then produced a stunning free kick from nowhere. Second half after first couple of minutes Cheltenham looked better and scored. Finally Gills woke up and equalised from first good play from Nevitt and good strike from Lapslie. Finally looked like Dack had won us the three points with great volley only to hit crossbar.
Mom wasn't easy choice as no one impressed me the whole game but
    Nevitt two assists
    Coleman
    Lapslie
Thought Rowe did well in spells and Nolan also looked bright.
Both teams look like mid table sides to be honest

    1. Nevitt run his socks off and battled with the centre halves all game, 2 good assists.
    2. Coleman in all honesty I thought everyone else was much of a muchness but it was Colemans best game for a while.
    3. Nolan looks ok in the 10 role wanted the ball and tried to make things happen.

I thought we shaded the game, they were happy with the draw as evidenced by their time wasting. First goal was either a worldie or an utter fluke, I think it was a cross personally. Would also say that their captain was a twat the celebration in front of the Rainham End was unnecessary and should have resulted in a booking.
