    All eleven deserve something from this game, however, as there are 2 players who I can sometimes be critical of, yet played well today.

    1. Ogilvie
    2. Byrne
    3. List

    Actually a very tough one to call as so many played so well yesterday. We defended extraordinarily well compared to some recent defeats and the final 3 could be any number of players but I'm gonna plonk for these:

    1. Ogilvie - Thought he was outstanding yesterday and made some very important late tackles to save us.
    2. Garmston - Always looked a real threat when going forwards down the left and Cardiff didn't have much of an answer for him. Also made some excellent tackles which you wouldn't always expect from him of late.
    3. List - Gave some of their defenders some real problems when he picked the ball up and ran at them and of course scored a goal we will remember for years to come.

    Special mentions also to Zakuani who blocked anything and everything, Lacey who looked very comfortable against their strikers, O'Neill getting back to his best of last season, Reilly & Byrne for both working their socks off and the big man up top too.

    Everyone played well and essentially it was a team performance rather than outstanding individual performances that prevailed. Mind you, the opposition was far less impressive than some visitors to Priestfield this season. All in all it has to be the back five if a choice has to be made so I would go for;
    Ogilvie,
    Garmston,
    Zakuani
