Well the star 'player' certainly wasn't the referee ! and yet, strangely we are in debt to his ineptitude. He ( and the assistant Mr. Magoos ), failed to see many incidents - especially handballs. More of the indiscretions were committed by the Gills players. Maybe you'll say that it would compensate for the many occasions when we haven't been treated fairly by a referee.
But I would point out that two wrongs do not make One right - they make TWO wrongs ! I don't want to see ANY wrongs ! I DO appreciate the difficulty that football officials have - but some of these WRONGS are BLATENT offences ( that even the real Mr.Magoo couldn't miss ).
I can understand why a couple of Coventry players were so animated when decisions didn't go their way. Tugay & Vincelot were particularly upset - and I shouldn't be surprised that the referee didn't book our former player for his tantrums - or was that not obvious dissent ?

Mind you - it looks like the real Mr.Magoo was at Leicester yesterday ! - I didn't realise that Leicesters defenders ( other than the goalkeeper ) ,were now being allowed to use their arms to 'fend off' the ball in the penalty area !! - with the referee, his assistants, the 4th official being the only ones NOT able to see the offence. When you get decisions so WRONG, it's time to retire the whistle.
