1st Leon Legge 2nd Doug Loft 3rd Glenn Morris Mcglastion was again very good in the second half has fantastic pace. Marquis scored with a wonderful shot for his goal and nearly had a second which was cleared off the line with the keeper well beaten. Well deserved win thanks to a great second half after looking second best in the first half.
1. Legge 2. Marquis (ok, Mr.Norris - you'e had your chance - now would you like to go on your summer holidays early ?) 3. GlenMorris 4. Edinburgh - for realising (eventually) that we needed to get the ball out from the Bradford 'sky' & onto the grass. Talking about grass - why does the pitch have to be flooded before the game? Recently this has created stability problems for players - especially on the Gordon Road side - where a chunk of the ground is in permanent shade - thus doesn't dry out. The players slip and slide far too much. Also I firmly believe that this situation cannot help the poor linesman. He has to 'run' through what amounts to a lot of wet sand along the line on this side of the pitch - it is little wonder that he cannot keep up with play - and my suggestion to him to lend a fans' walking stick probably didn't help either !
Always why on earth is the pitch watered at half time aswell.did it not rain heavy in the morning and the players sliping.unless they have a miss wet t shirt with the gems.
I share your thoughts - including the Miss wet T shirt... My comment about the linesman's difficulty in 'running' through the much sand on the line is a serious one ! - as for the players - they just can't keep their feet.
