1 Gale 2 Mackenzie 3 Dack Robbed by useless officials, we didn't play well, but if the ref gets both decisions right who knows.
Even I haven't got as many tools in my toolbox ! 1. Lapslie - for his good 'sense' at getting out ! 2. The referee - for reminding me about the handball rule - apparently if the ball strikes a Gills player on the very top of his shoulder - that is handball - but - if an opponent ( Stevens of Wimbledon ), deliberately moves the whole of his upper arm to 'propel' the ball into the goal - that is not handball !....... The last time I saw anything with such loose interpretation it was in the form of diarrhea. 3. The referee (again) - for reminding me that he is allowed to cheat ** and not award Gills a penalty - despite the multiple efforts by Wimbeldon's O' Toole to strangle Masterson before performing a body-slam to the ground. ** I say 'cheat ' - because I can't believe that the referee was so bad or so blind as to not see the blatant foul...... maybe the referee should share this award with the blind, stupid, cheating assistant ? In fairness to The Gills, they did produce a little more 'fight' than v Colchester - and for the first 5 minutes gave some hope of getting a point.... Ultimately, Gills were not good enough... Lone striker tactics failed - again- ..... although, near the end, Nevitt chose to shoot and miss wildly, when, for once, he had two Gills players beside him waiting for a pass and a simple 'tap-in.' -- you don't see Salah being greedy ! The quality and skill levels of both teams was dreadful....I find it incredible that Wimbledon are 2nd in the table - they weren't any better than a poor Gills team.... The only time Wimbledon threatened Gills goal was from awful application of the tools at the disposal of The Gills - When Ehmer nearly 'assisted' with a dreadful header when trying to clear the ball. .. The other threat came from the left-back tool in our box - Max Clark's pantomime donkey passback to ..... well - it wasn't Morris - was it ? - resulting in a needless corner ---- and we all know what happened next ----- the party clown with the whistle had a brain fart - while his friend with the flag couldn't wave it to signify handball because the flag was stuck (( having been used as a tool for colonic irrigation. )) ..... so - you see - Gills only lost because there were too many tools on the pitch.
1. Gale 2. McKenzie 3. I can't quantify at this point Ok, most has been said, so no need for me to repeat, other than one view I've got... I honestly don't think we are aggressive enough for L2. It's a crap league and we need to get out of it, and regardless of Wimbledon tactics they are second in the league. When we won the league in 2013 this was the team: Stuart Nelson Matt Fish Leon Legge Adam Barrett Andy Frampton Steven Gregory Charlie Allen Charlie Lee Chris Whelpdale Deon Burton Danny Kedwell Substitutions: Myles Weston for Chris Whelpdale47Adam Birchall for Deon Burton77 These lads would not let anyone bully them - I first saw this problem last season, when we allowed Jorge Hurtado to be butchered off the pitch. We saw this again last night when it was Masterson (I think ) who was put in a headlock and thrown to the ground. Guys you really have got to give it back or do we need to get in players capable of doing so. Let's stop kidding ourselves, it's not pretty in L2, seriously guys what do you think would have happened if someone had put Frampton in a neck hold, I know one thing for sure if it was done to Charlie Lee he would have been walking after laying the guy out, grow some balls!
Another poor performance from both teams but ref gets the vote for worst official this season Mom going to be difficult but Rowe ( at least he showed some promise coming on) Gbode McKenzie
