First game for me since the end of last season and the lads did not disappoint with a home win, 3 points, and a clean sheet. It's more difficult than i realised picking the top three. Especially as in the second half we seemed content to maintain our prize. But here goes and always subject to personal opinion, contention and the players i overlooked;

1. Keds
2. Loft
3. Hessy

Over to everyone else's opinion now...

Decent performance today and it is tough to choose my top 3. It is easier to choose a top 2 however the third place is much more open so this is a tough one.

1. Kedwell- Very good performance from him today. He caused so many problems for the Yeovil defence and got stuck in just like he usually does. Also a goal which is good and it counts as one from open play so that is even better for him.
2. Loft- He is such a good midfielder. I am so happy that we have signed him as he holds the midfield together and with Hessenthaler and Morris we look more of a force in midfield which will not be overrun like the midfield last season. He is a great leader of the team and really got stuck in all over the field. He plays some great balls and was close to man of the match in my opinion.
3. Aaron Morris- This was a tough one between Morris, Martin and Hessenthaler however I went for Morris as I was really impressed by him. I have got to say he has surprised me as when he joined I thought he would be a squad player however I feel he is a lot more than this as he is a brilliant holding midfielder by the looks of it. He is like an upgrade on Gregory. I was a fan of Gregory but I have to say I feel Morris looks a better player than him. He is very good at holding midfield and gets stuck in well. His close passing is better than Gregory and he also gets forward well as he has a good turn of pace. He done well today and worked well with a great run to win us the penalty which was set up well by Loft and Fish. I like the look of Morris and hope he continues to play like this.

No standouts today, bit of a drab game but I think Loft showed his class today. Kedwell kept chasing down and showing the desire that a few more need to hence why he is up there. Hess didn't seem to put a foot wrong so deserves the top 3. Aaron Morris played well too and already looks better than Gregory.

Special mention go Bywater for saving a penalty on his debut, must have been pressure on him to do well considering Morris' performance on Tuesday.

I'm starting to like this player competition, it really is interesting to see people's selections. It makes me also look at my own selection even more and say...erm...they are right now thinking about it, that player was better than that one. Also it will be a good indicator as the season goes on of the overall star player, as some early performers seem to get forgotten as the season goes on. The only down side i see to the comp is the away games are always going to be lesser predicted on than the home games, but that's just the nature of the beast unfortunately.

As an absentee been a bit hard to pick 3 players that played well.
Looking around forums, match reports, websites etc Lot of negativity about.

I'm going to pick -

1. 3 points (Man of the Match) - Kedwell
2. 2 points (2nd best performing player) - Egan
3. 1 point (3rd best performing player) – Loft

Keds seems to be almost a universal MOTM yesterday for his tireless hard work.

Egan sounds like he will be a decent mainstay in our backline. Sounds composed beyond his years. Haven't heard anything poor about him right through pre-season to now. Consistent is good. Also nice to keep a clean sheet.

Loft - I have heard one or two people say Lofty was outstanding in the middle. Yet a lot of fans not even mentioned him. Strange.

SirKeefy - Loft was the stand out player for me in the first half occupying the number seven shirt. Sadly the second half got a bit boring as we played the game to secure the points, hence i of sorts lost my concentration for that period. Hence overall me giving it to Keds. I never gave Egan a mention but he certainly deserves one.

The table is now updated for the Yeovil game. The first column under 'Week' indicates the points earned for the Yeovil game, the second column 'Total Points' is what it states and includes both league games totals for MK Dons and Yeovil. The position for players on zero points is purely relevant to when they were added to the table and has no significance other than they share zero points. Only players that have spent minutes on the pitch during the season will feature in the table standings. All information relevant to actual team selections are taken from the BBC site but no information is copied.
