From an era when England had a team of real men who played with pride and for the honour of representing their Country rather than the cash, Sir Tom Finney has reached the ripe old age of 90.

Finney and Stanley Matthews tore defences apart in their day and created chances galore for their team mates as well as scoring a goal or two themselves.

If there's any coverage of the great man's feats on TV you should try to catch it. You won't be disappointed.

Anybody that was down at Preston the last time we played them would have been lucky enough to see the travelling museum that had a special Tom Finney section with all his caps on view along with trophies and such that I hadn't even heard of before.

My old man said he was a hell of a player, also a gent off the field.
