Star delivers good news to QPR fans SPORT WITNESSSport Witness Football View Discussions Queens Park Rangers midfielder Leroy Fer has confirmed he is back in training with the squad, and hopes to play for the first team soon. The Holland international has yet to play for the Championship side this season because of injury. Speaking to his management company Wasserman, Fer said his recovery is going in the right direction, and that he is already back training with his teammates. He revealed each day he is getting stronger, and although he is unlikely to make the squad for Wednesday’s clash with Blackburn Rovers he should return to the team soon. “It’s going in the right direction. I can fully participate in training with the squad. Every day I’m a little bit better. I am getting stronger again. I can’t say whether on Wednesday I will join up with the squad, but it will be a matter of time before that is the case,'' said the QPR star on his comeback plans. Fer has seen many of his high profile teammates leave during the last transfer window, and the Dutchman could have followed them if his move to Sunderland hadn’t fallen through. There were claims in the British media the player failed a medical to sign for Sunderland, and he subsequently returned to QPR to help them in their objective of getting promotion back to the Premier League.
