being in Eastbourne I dont get up to the Valley as much as i would like however went up last week and am going today. Which stand however is the best for the view. I know the north stand is good for the atmosphere as well though
Overall the reconstruction of the Valley has left us with a ground to be proud of, with good views from most places. Agree that the Upper West or high in the East gives the overall best view, however atmosphere can be absent when the stands aren't full. North Upper gives a great view and a good atmosphere but language can be fruity if you've got youngsters with you. Out of choice from the recent past with young kids in tow (now teenagers), I chose the NWQ since you can wash in the atmosphere of the North, have a good view of the pitch, warm up, the tunnel etc. Still sit there with Mrs SVC even though the kids can cope with the language - (why are they calling the referee that dad?)- but dont always come these days.
i used to have a season ticket since we built the upper tier in l block just where the steps are it was an excellent view only downsize the players looked like ants from that position if want to get clear view i sat in front of directors area for southend game right down pitch side thats a good view but take a brolly if it rains mind you we got drenched in that match
Cheers guys just about to head off from Eastbourne still undecided on where to go probabaly upper north or upper west though
