I think the club should rename the East Stand and the SJH stand to get some decent added sponsorship in.

In today’s market each stand naming rights has gotta be worth £5m a season?

 

But then you'd have to rename one of your sock accounts as well...

 

I can understand the logic but don’t agree with the principle.

It would simply be ‘naming’ the stadium by the back door. St James’ Park it was, St James’ Park it is and St James’ Park it should remain.

 

Extend it back over the listed building at the back and then rename it The Leazes Terrace.

 

Eh? SJP isn't known as the Milburn Stadium and the SJH is called by most the Leazes but we are still SJP.

It's simple and for £10m a season more may be part of the much needed bridge.

Folk get too precious about some of the fixtures and fittings at times I feel.

 

We should someone to sponsor the toilets as well.

There should be standard bogs then gold plated ones for VIP's.

 

but the SJH stand has already been renamed
it had been called the Leazes Stand for years, long before SJH came along
then reverted back to the Leazes Stand a good few years ago
The East stand was called the 'New Stand' before it was called the East Stand

 

Which is good and shows that stand renaming can and does happen. I just think we should get some cash for it. Need to flog as much opportunity as possible.
