http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26141427 Would be a good idea IMO to introduce these. League One Bristol City plan to become the first club in the United Kingdom to install rail seats, which have been pioneered in the German Bundesliga. The seats can either be unlocked or locked to create a standing or seated area inside a stadium. Regulations currently prohibit their use in football, so they will initially be used for rugby games at Ashton Gate.
If any of the " standing brigade" decide to stand up in front of us at Wembley they won't be standing for long, they'll be lying down under the seat.
Would love it at the SoL. Never understood the blanket ban. It was down to massive terraces, all the problems, but I stood in the Clock Stand paddock at Roker for years with no bother. We might not get the Fulwell back, but there's no reason why smaller, less deep, areas like the old paddocks shouldn't be safe.
Deffo. Must admit am a seat fan now but feel sorry for the young uns who will never experience the thrill of falling 20-25 yards forward following a goal and still ending up next to your mate
Supporters create atmosphere, and with our lot at the moment it would take more than just standing up for them to make the effort to get behind the team..
Think all of us of a certain age agree its better tho. Our support is very good away from home where everybody stands. Is it the SoL? is it the away supporters in the wrong place?
Potentially a great idea. And in some very small way tells the H&S gloom-laden, fun spoiling, common sense ignoring, tosser's to **** right off!
