How refreshing it was to listen to Nick Barmby on the radio telling it as it is without the fear of ruffling a few feathers. Clearly he needs to know now, not in a few weeks time, whether or not he'll have money to spend on new players. It's this kind of honesty that wins fans over and a pleasant change to having to listen to managers toeing the official line.
