It's "Acute" Leukemia, I hate to say it but this looks very very bad. My heart goes out to him and his family and I hope he can beat this. Very sad news.
Im afraid thats not what it means at all. There are a number of types of leukaemia, "Acute" being one of them and one of the the most progressive if not treated.

We just have to hope and pray that this great player pulls through. Going to London for treatment means it is likely he will get the best treatment available, let us hope it works. It shows how unimportant most things about football really are when you are faced with things like this.
