I could never tell you to xxxx off, Ted !! ( I couldn't pronounce it anyway ), I didn't know much of the history of Mosley and his connection with Hitler......I'll definitely investigate further....thanks again mate

WELL IM NOT VERY UP ON IT ALL BUT OSWALD MOSESLEY LIKE HITLER WAS WATCHING THE RISE OF THE ITALIAN FACIST MOVEMENT,AND HE WAS SO FANATICAL ABOUT IT BUT RATHER LIKE THE NATIONAL FRONT THEY HAD NO CHANCE AGAINST THE EAST ENDS ROUGUES AND IN CABLE STREET THEY GOT WELL AND TRULLY TURNED OVER
but dont quote me on that stains as i have the brains of a duck and im probabley historically wrong
 
anyway well done to the grove for putting up a very nice little piece of info,my thoughts of stan bowles were in real life of course i drank with him and so can say things that are kind of strange
AND THE STRANGEST THING ABOUT STAN WAS HIS EYES WERE ALMOST TURQUOISE HE WAS A VERY DOWN TO EARTH SORT OF BLOKE REALLY BUT SADLY HIS WHOLE LIFE WAS BETTING HE USED TO GT HIS WAGES UP FRONT JUST SO HE COULD BET IT ON THE DOGS OR HORSES
but amazingly when he put that qpr shirt on he became,very aggressive and wanted to win everygame and his real genius was that he could turn all that aggression into creativity he wasnt just a goalscorer all through his youth days he had played as a left winger so he could make defence splitting passes

Yes Ted, the BUF were stopped from marching at Cable Street in 1936, in fact there is a very nice mural there now depicting the events of that day. Most of the trouble that day was between protesters and police, trying to make a path for the March, so I'm led to believe.

Strangely enough my sig is from a song called 'The Ghosts of Cable Street' by a folk band I follow called 'The Men They Couldn't Hang', and tells a bit of the story, with poetic licence of course...take a listen as you might like it :)
