    He was a legend (for another team) when I was growing up in the 70s.
    R.i.P. cracking footballer.

    Different era loved a beer and a tab by all accounts. Think it was Stan who earned the quote . “If he could pass a betting shop as well as he could pass the ball he’d be a rich man“. Certainly enjoyed his life

    RIP Stan.

    Football will always remember you as a true talent, who sometimes made the impossible look easy.

    However, as a Sunderland fan, I also remember the game after the FA cup final, so my overall respect for you is less than it would have been.
