According to the BBC, Newcastle United have the 8th highest average attendance.....IN EUROPE!! It's amazing to me how we can do so little with such a massive presence, how managing a club to 16th is somehow acceptable, how it's even possible to get such a club relegated. When are we going to man up, as a club, and start believing we are better than turning a minute profit and being sponsored by fcking Wonga? When do we start campaigning for Ashley to fck off?!
I think people tried that before. Like a bad penny though...................... To be honest I'm not sure he is screwing us, he just isn't willing to bankroll it out of his own pocket. He wants the club to be self sufficient. The difference between us and those other clubs with high attendances etc, they either have fabulous long established youth systems or a rich owner who is willing to bankroll it. A fool is soon parted with his money and Ashley isn't keen on being a fool I suppose. Most of the PL owners admit there is no money to be made from running a club.
