First of all I'd just like to thank Top for a brilliant day - very entertaining game and the atmosphere was electric. And I managed to get in for only £12, happy days! The only negative about today was that my favourite stadium announcer has been replaced! The guy we've had for as long as I can remember is an absolute legend, he's funny, enthusiastic and when he'd say - 'And now your Leicester City side!' it sends shivers down my spine! But who was this guy today? He sounded like he couldn't even be arsed. People want to know which players are coming on when they enter the field so they can identify which on they are, but he didn't say anything for ages and we had to guess for ourselves. I really hope this isn't a permanent replacement! (Disclaimer: this is light hearted issue and I am not whinging!)
He is a radio Leicester presenter and it was a one off. He was not great was he. Even my wife mentioned him.
Emilio - you said that you weren't interested in going to the Madrid game when it was announced back in the good 606 days I think you said that you wanted to save your money for away games and £22 was too steep for a friendly when they would probably only bring their reserve team??? - is it the bargain of a £12 ticket that changed your mind or the prospect of watching a class outfit like Madrid?
He used to do Leicester Sound aswell. He didnt even know our players or theirs and it took him ages to announce subs
"Coming off for er... Leicester, replacing er... number 5 er... M..M..Mills, is number er... 12 St.. St Ledger"
def glad it was a one off appointment, much prefer our regular bloke, at least he knows what he's on about, but when oh when are they gonna do something about birch's mike, tho im not sure if its him mumbling or his mike, but i can hardy make out anything he is saying lol
Friendlys must be murder on these guys, there were prob about 20 substitutions and he had to do them in both languages.
^ I think it was a separate bloke who did the Spanish subs But yes he was appalling, thank Johnfallen that he was only a temp. Come to think of it I'd rather have the Spanish bloke over him
It was the same guy that did the spanish announcements, but he had a spanish translator with him. Was reporting for Radio Leicester when i was driving down to the ground.
