Could soon be a thing of the past if recent developments are to go by. We are on course to finish below the white half of North London for the first time since I can remember. Insult to injury I'd say, blowing our best chance to win the league in ages and allow them to finish ahead of us. It could turn out to be potentially the worst season we've had in a very long time in that regard. Welcome to hell. I find it increasingly impossible to be optimistic when the same tired excuses are given out at the end of every season, and there seems to be little hope of change until such time as Wenger retires or there is a dramatic change in the way this club is run.
As I've said before, whether we finish 2nd or 10th, it doesn't matter anymore because we're not winning the league this season. I don't really care whether we finish ahead of them or not because that is just straw-clutching in what has turned out to be a miserable season full of regrets. Maybe it is just me, but finishing ahead of them - which we are expected to do anyway - won't give me the tiniest crumb of comfort.
Spurs finishing above us and being a simply better team with a better manager should be the final nail in Wenger's coffin, but sadly it won't. He will drag us through another season of misery.
Who here cares if we finish above Spurs or not? Regardless of which way round the two teams finish, both of them should hang their heads in their shame that they got done over by Leicester.
There's no shame in the best team winning the title...and Leicester are clearly the best team. The teams who should hang there heads are Chelsea, United, City and Liverpool...All that money...All those players and all miles off any creditable league position.
I really don't see Tottenham finishing above us on a regular basis. Consider this is Spurs best Season in Premierleague history while we have been awful since the start of 2016. Despite this the difference between the two sides come in the end of the Season will be very very close. (in terms of points)

Next season, falling out the top four is a realistic possibility. More realistic than it's ever been since he's been Arsenal manager. Clubs are moving to new stadiums, getting new owners, new managers and new funds which means that we can't risk falling behind the pack. Truthfully, we need about 5-6 new players if we want to make a genuine attempt at winning the title, but I know we won't do that, even though we do have money available. So I think if we do finish out of the top 4 next season, or maybe even if we just scrape it on the last day, that will make his position untenable. Unless we win the Champions League (lol). But if he couldn't do it with the 2003/04 squad or the double-winning side of 2001/02, I can't see him doing it with lesser Arsenal teams that we have now. Since he's made it abundantly clear he won't leave at the end of this season, I would do just about anything for him to leave in May 2017. It's such a shame that it has come to this, but I will be delighted the day he leaves.
I honestly thought he would call it a day at the end of this season, but the truth of the matter is - who is out there who could replace him? With so many big PL clubs all appointing new managers at the same time, there aren't any big names left. I said at the time you were absolutely mad not to go for Klopp as I think he would've suited you nicely. I mean your best option right now is Brendan bloody Rodgers ffs! I also think your board has been utterly shell-shocked by what's happened to United. It goes to show just how hard it is to replace a legacy in the modern PL era, and what has defined Arsenal for almost a decade now is paranoia of failure rather than drive to succeed. I personally think that a season or two of no CL safety blanket with a real overhaul of the squad and a proper transition could be really healthy for you. There is a stale, stagnant feeling about Arsenal at the minute and it's been hovering for a good few years now.
Not really, there are good managers out there who we could tempt, Simeone, Allegri, There's no chance we are going to get Rodgers, he is no upgrade on Wenger.
How about we wait till it's over? You always talk out of your ass in the future tense, and always end up wrong. Assuming Spurs do get second, well, we've had two back-back Fa Cups, so I'd say 2 FA Cups and 2 top 4 finishes triumphs one 2nd place. Plus, wasn't everyone before telling Arsenal it doesnt matter getting top 4 if u can get a trophy, lol, so now Arsenal have better trophy success rate in the last few seasons, and Spurs might end up above us in the league, and suddenly the league position matters more than the trophies. ****ing hilarious, you ****s will literally resort to anything to try and have a dig at Arsenal. And either way, forget about Spurs, we will be finishing above you for the third time in a row, and at this rate, you're not going to be in Europe again, and when I say Europe, I mean the Champions League, ;-), you're on course for the Europa.
I was pointing out a fact, the comment was "have an amazing time celebrating something we achieve every year", you don't finish 2nd every year and in fact haven't finished that high for a long time.
Well he probably meant top 4, and he's right, there is no different between 3rd or 2nd, both automatically get qualified to Europe, so who cares really? We're both gonna finish quite close to each other, and quite a bit far from Leicester, so again, in that context as well, who gives a ****? 2nd doesnt win you anything more than 3rd does, you both end up with the same reward come end season, automatic qualification to Europe. And he also probably meant by what we do every year, finishing above Spurs, in fact I'm sure that's what he meant, but you purposely looked at it the other to get your usual stupid dig at Arsenal.
Let Spurs finish above Arsenal for 20+ years in a row, win the league, the fa cup, and overall get more trophies than us, and than we can actually talk. Finishing one season above us by a few points, and still unable to actually beat us in the league, 2 games, 2 draws, and overall in all competitions with 1 loss, and 2 draws, doesnt really say much for Spurs or a supposed 'power shift'. It's what we would call an anomaly, an exception, and not the rule. **** happens, after all, Leicester are about to win the league.
