I am looking to book a stadium tour in the next 2-3 weeks. Anyone on here ever been on a tour before? I am quite intrigued to explore the inner workings and recesses of the ground and see where it all happens. Will the tour include the boardroom, trophy cabinet, etc? I know the changing rooms and players tunnel is included.
Have been on a tour there twice However the last time I went was 2006. Very interesting tour and takes you around the stadium inside-out
did it in Jan this year, really really interesting - great insight to things and you will learn a hell of alot of background things that you wont hear from anywhere else. saw everywhere worth seeing - the exec boxes, the boardroom, trophy cabinet (fuller than i though it would be!) the dressing rooms (you will love the "comparison") and all of the unique little things that have been built into the stadium that you dont actually realise. for any saints fan its well worth the visit.
Try get on a a tour with Herbie Taylor. The man bleeds red and white stripes and always has great tales to tell
I went on one about 4 years ago and someone had scratched off Rupert Lowe's name of the list of Chairmen, I would be interested if anyone has added it back on.
Yep I've done one. We took a group of children from the school I work at. Very interesting. The kids thought it was great sitting in the posh, padded seats in the director's box. The kit man at the time, can't remember his name, told the kids that the players were allowed only so many shirts a season and if they choose to give them away/throw them in the crowd they had to pay for them! It was before Marcus Liebherr took over when we didn't have any money. The difference between the Home and Away dressing rooms was quite interesting. If you get a chance take a look at the back of the Away dressing room toilet doors!
it is brillaint been on it 3 times! see everything and learn some intresting stories, saw the JPT trophy last year, another one that is worth doing is the wembley tour mind blowing that is
Can you do it on a Sunday? I'm always so busted after Junk, this sounds far more appealing than having panic attacks round the Wesy Quay and our flight to Belfast isn't until early evening.
