What goes up must come down! There is no doubt in the next few weeks we are going to see our 100% home record come to an end! What I don't want to see is the crowd booing the players when this does happen. Our expectations have rocketed this season but lets not get carried away. It's as if some of our fans see every home game as a home banker. I fully expect this run to end shortly and I think on another thread someone mentioned when this inevitably happens to give the players a standing ovation. I think this is a great idea. Sure I think we as a crowd are getting more nervy..this is natural. But lets all come to terms now that our run will finish, and lets keep the crowd posititvity going by singing our hearts out for the red and white! COYRs
Agreed, I even heard some morons start booing when we went in 1-0 down at half-time against Hull. Might I say it was the small minority but very frustrating and annoying to hear, however if I hear anything against Blackpool they will get an ear full from me!! Were 1st for a reason, and I am getting fed up with some fans complaining about recent games. To be fair we've been spoilt this year that everything has gone so well so lets just keep supporting so we can keep the success going!!
As much as I like the positive comments you throw in at various stages of your thread what you are truely saying is were about to lose in the next couple of games and should just accept it and take it on the chin?. I know it will happen none of us are stupid enough to believe this run will never end but I for one am so much more expectant to a good result at home right now compared to our very dodgy away form. Good things come to an end but not just yet I hope!
People are allowed to voice there grievances as long as it's not too over the top!(that was for the last few games comment)i don't agree with booing, have never booed at a footy match before as i don't believe it achieves anything.
Yes exactly SFA! Whenever our next draw/loss at home is we should take it on the chin. Of course we are expecting more success at home due to our amazing run, so lets not get too negative when it does happen. Like our Nige says lets not get carried away when we're winning and not too despondant when we're losing.[/QUOTE] I like your approach after feeling a shade negative after going at the weekend its amazing how a fellow fan can just give you that pick me up you require! Onwards and upwards! I am feeling the positive vibe and predict a hard fought 2-1 win Sat!
i said on another post that WE will be the most important selection on Saturday and coming games. Let's make sure we select the right attitude and get right behind the boys.
I have never booed Saints and never will and believe me I've seen some dire games. One loss at home can turn into two, three etc if the team lose their confidence and become afraid to play. A standing ovation when we lose our winning run to show our appreciation of their achievement is a good idea. Hopefully it won't be for some time.
