Score after Day 1 After a difficult days racing Bluesky has gone off at what must be a suicidal pace. The rest of the field are thinking he is a fool (probably rightly) and will come back to them whilst Ron is not so sure and is sitting up a little closer. This being a staying event rather than a sprint there are still many opportunities over the next 3 days to close on the two leaders and give a cheeky look across as they gasp for breath. We lost 3 gallant racers today who have clearly not run to form and on past results their day will come once again soon. In fact i feel the stewards will maybe call one or two in for an explanation as it looks like they may be protecting a handicap mark for a big meet. Nevertheless 3 more will be lost after racing tomorrow and the final 6 carried forward to Friday. Scores for Day 2 The race is really hotting up after another quite difficult card. Most runners accumalated points in races but sadly winners were few and far between, the winner of the day being Pereniel selected by Karlos5001 at 12-1. Ron is starting to breath down the leaders neck with ears pricked whilst the pack are close enough if good enough for sure with two whole cards still to go. Sadly we lose another 3 runners today who all ran with credit and another day awaits them for sure.
