Good, this means Pearson will be looking for another CB in the summer, with Moore as cover.

He wasn't on a free, we signed him for about £1 million from Preston if I remember correctly.

So thats Danns, Beckford and St. Ledger all been told to find new clubs. There wages have got to be between 60-70K a week

Just need to get rid of Gallagher, Wellens and Konchesky then

Big difference between them being told to find new clubs and them actually finding them - especially on those wages. You could be stuck with some unhappy players (although they will happily collect their 60K+ every week) on your wage bill.

You mean pointing out the facts? We speak from experience - who could forget the unmovable Jimmy (Glass knees) Bullard and his £40+ k per week????????????

    No.

We've not got anyone even close to 60k per week.

I think you will find it was one of your own (Proud Fox I believe) who stated those figures. If you read the original quote you would have seen that. I have no idea what the players you want rid of are on, but if they can't find similar deals elsewhere you could still be stuck with them :D

He was talking about their collective wages, not anyone's individual one.

I'm still not sure about Konch, I guess it depends what he's on. St Ledger was a no-brainer because he wasn't even making the first team. I hate to agree with tigerrev but he's right, St Ledger is unlikely to go unless someone out there is desperate (Hull? Just kidding lads). It'll be more loans I'm afraid. The Sven legacy will still be affecting us (at least) 2 1/2 years after his departure.

Under Sven we had a salary cap of 30K. The only players that got 30K was Yakubu, Matt Mills, David Nugent, Jermaine Beckford and possibly Paul Konchesky

Most other players are on around 20-25K. Your looking at players like Neil Danns, Kasper Schmeichel, Andy King, Richie Wellens and Paul Gallagher

Kasper will get an increase if he signs a new deal purely because he is more then worth it. He is probably the only player on the books we are prepared to break the bank to keep.

The wage bill is too high here that is no secret but its being cut every year now with FFP coming in but we still have the financial capabilities with FFP to compete with prem clubs.

This is something people need to remember. Even if Nigel wanted to keep St. Ledger he knows with FFP coming in he cant thanks to Sven

I think St. Ledger will be able to find a club as he is an international defender and still has a decent number of years ahead of him.

Konch will be harder to shift unless we cover some of his wages and Wellens and Gallagher is going to be like shifting a dead horse
