Exter have a lovely ground. And newcastle now have the sports direct arena... Its all over twitter that sid james will be called tge sports direct arena as of tomorrow, with the times having it on the back page The mags are foing off it!
Depends who ultimately sponsors it really. It's Sports Direct for now, but they're just showcasing it for a bigger sponsor to come in and create more revenue in time for the fair play rules. Either way, it'll always be St James' Park to me.
to be honest I know the fans wont like it but football is business and I bet Man City fans aint bothered that there ground is called the Etihad Arena or whatever its called If we were offered millions to rename the SoL I would be up for it if the money was used to help improve the playing squad. I know its a bit different for them lot up the road unless Mike Ashley uses it in the same way City have as a way of bringing money in to bend the fair play rules.
howabout:- KFC stadium Crunchy Nut Arena Tools4U Ground DonaldMcDonald Arena SugarPuff Stadium etc Suits a total bunch of f a n n y supporters = ha ha Bart
Don't believe that. It will stay Sports Direct Arena. mackems are next http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2557...-consider-selling-naming-rights-to-stadium-of
Its a little different though, Newcastle have been playing at St James' Park since 1892...As someone has written, its as much a part of our club as our colours!
Wouldn't be bothered if it brings more money into the club for transfers, our ground isn't that old I am sure the people who would moan about it would get over it
Feel free to give back some of what you've been taking for the last few weeks/months lads. I'll be honest, I'm empty inside about this, won't be attending any more games, buying the kits or anything from the club shop for that matter. Can't line the pockets of this vindictive man any longer 'm afraid.
