They seem a little desperate judging by the two extensions and now the letter.

I'm not sure why they are appearing to be so desperate!
They fully know that if they spend as they promised then the fans will buy up the season tickets!

They are appearing to be very desperate at this stage! Or may well just be a sales push as within any other business to meet targets.

A$hley needs to show his intentions by deeds not words and only then will his ST sales rise. Until then his letters will be binned.

Good sign that people are holding back renewing until we see the signings. Might encourage the twat to put his hand in his pockets

I really hope that the support will hold it's nerve and delay renewing their ST until we see some real signs of ambition and promises being kept.
Just goes to show that collective action if sustained can bring about change.
The problem for me is that having made such a mess of things thus far, there is still a bad smell lingering over the club, this l gear will have an adverse affect on the success of this transfer window.
It's one thing to want to sign this and that player, but as with the fan base, those targets will also need some convincing that the tide has turned.

My deadline is around the end of January so I have plenty of time to call bullshit on the fat man's promises.
Until then I'll enjoy hope as it's a long time since I've had any to look forward.

Fans just have to stick it out. If he mans business then invest. Once he invests then the season tickets will sell out.

This desperation looks a little like "**** the plan hasn't worked, the tv appearance and big promises hasn't fooled them"

Of course it may just be a case of them doing their job. Personally speaking we have been offered all sorts to renew our corporate. We are moving box for other reasons but we have decided to take our time. We will renew for business reasons, but I like the idea of the fans in general holding fire. We have decided to hold off for as long as possible although we must obviously secure the right kind of seats. The corporate sales team have invited us in to see the possible seats, we have just said we aren't sure - they responded by saying they can offer us seats in prime locations (central executive). Amazing after the stunts they pulled last year trying to shift us!

ACS I like the way you have covered your address on the first picture but weren't quite so vigilant in the ripped up letter picture.

It looks like he had to smash his thumb with a hammer as well to be able to cover up the whole address!

This is interesting, as it's now approaching Wednesday and no sign of McClaren's backroom team. How the fck we're supposed to bring players in effectively when we can't even pick up coaches is beyond me, and how Charnley remains absent/employed is still a mystery.

McClaren said he would have his team in place by Monday and the only rumours have been Zenden and Paul Simpson. Again, the club seems to be just sat dormant with no signs of life. It took 150+ days to bring the head coach we already knew we'd end up with.

Have to say it is a bit strange that no members of a coaching team has been brought in.
We were think on the ground as it is and we are now an extra 2 men down. Unless of course the club are trying to save money until we actually need them with the players <doh>

Charnley made a rare appearance in Eldon Square the other day.
