    According to them, we're still in big talks for De Jong and also Douglas.

    I thought we'd given the Douglas idea the elbow, but they must think he's worth it.

    Bit slow on the uptake over their way...Its been reported since this morning (with 2 seperate posts - are you getting lazy in your old age Tash?) that Newcastle officials have flown to Holland/Netherlands for transfer talks - no-one knows who for, and that's why both those names have been thrown in - tomorrow it'll be Anita and watch, it'll be someone completely different we end up signing!

    Douglas didn't show up for the first training this season. He had reported through his management that his mother underwent surgery and he had to stay in Brazil for a couple of days more. After that they hadn't heard from him. Two days ago he reported back in. Schteve McLaren sent him to the reserve squad as penalty for coming in late.
