Just seen a tweet from a SSN reporter saying sky sports news have spoken to NA and he has said he didn't want to lose AOC and won't be using the money from the sale of him? Slight be strange but maybe they had the budget in place and that's what they are willing to go to?
Bet that reporter's boss is happy after sending him to talk to the manager of the current league leaders and yet he comes back with a quote about a transfer story that quite frankly has no more legs since it was all done and dusted...!!
Adkins could have said anything and it could have been taken out of context by the reporter in an attempt to create a story. It's a non story as far as i'm concerned - agree with jacksk1
Of course Adkins wouldn't wanted to have lost Chamberlain, he is a quality player. Also i'm not bothered if we don't use the money on the squad - Firstly we probably only need 1 more player and the rest of it could be used to help counter any debt we have built up.
Oh no I appreciate it was stating the obvious about AOC and thinking about it, it's probably different way of stating something he already has said and that is we won't be held to ransom! Think we are two players short- striker and centre back! Then we will continue to be in business the whole season the same way we have started it!
Adkins said a few days ago on Player that the finance was already in place for transfers that we've made or hope to make. He laughingly said that as Cortese was Swiss he'd probably want to put Chamberlain's money in the bank.
