If they're asking for £8m I say forget it unless there are major limits based on appearances, goals and success
Place yourself in his shoes though. You're offered a move where the manager is one of the greatest players to have played the game. Would you go there to learn off him or go to well known hoofball merchants ?
8 million is too much but well worth a punt at £4 - 5 , he scored 18 ? goals last season , As Redmond has opted for Norwich maybe this story could be true .I'd laugh my proverbial socks off if we did get him Although this story has been doing he rounds recently , all very interesting GHANAsoccernet.com, a website with a mixed record of getting transfer rumours right, have announced on Monday that Swansea are on the verge of signing highly-prized Wakaso Mubarak. According to the African website: The Swans are in the final stages of negotiations with Espanyol for the 22-year-old following the capture of Jordi Amat. Espanyol would be receiving around 4m Euros for the transfer of the Ghana international but half of that amount will be going to Villarreal who have a 50% stake in the player. Espanyol midfielder Wakaso Mubarak has also been linked to Everton and Inter Milan in the past few months. Espanyol are under serious financial pressure and it seems likely that Mubarak will leave the La Liga club should a good offer come in for Ghanian international. Whether Swansea can beat off interest from other suitors though – Everton and Inter Milan are both said to be interested in the player – remains to be seen. Wakaso Mubarak has had a fine 2012-13 campaign for Espanyol and also impressed for Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations at the start of the year.
£5 million maximum and possibly an add on up to a further £1 million and no more, cardiff offered 8 million absolutely insane.
Can't see us paying £8 mill. If Cardiff has had a £8 mill bid accepted then Blackpool won't accept a lower bid from us, ergo he won't be joining us...
There is no way that he is worth 8m yet, he may well go on to prove he is in that bracket. But not yet. Would still prefer us to take a punt on Redmond.
yes agree....he would have to be a few million lighter than that for me to think its a good deal.......Its lucky we are not incharge of the funds ..
Couldn't say really ,I think their stats are comparable when you look at the Championship but Scott decided to leave us rather than us offering him for sale
Well if ever there was a welcome to the Prem for our neighbours ...its this type of headline. Can't see it myself, but if it means they have to pay an extra £10 k a week to get a seemingly already overpriced player ...tidy! Saying that, I haven't followed him religiously so do not feel qualified to rate/price him.
