I Doubt we will be getting another CB in Jan. We have plenty and the only reason he did play this season was due to the massive injury crisis with our FB.

I have no personal axe to grind with Mr S - just concerned at who persuaded Wenger he was good enough for our wobbly back 4 !!!! - or worse - he'd do for a while to cover injuries - that's morally awful.
I still think we need another CB. I would have gone for Alex, he's available and we could probably have got him for around £4m. We have 3 good CBs but due to injuries they are often either not available or playing out of position. Long term I'd like to see us sign Vertonghen who can play LB, CB and DM. But that wouldn't happen until the summer at the earliest.
