RONNY DEILA has revealed Celtic have a fee agreed with Manchester City to land John Guidetti in January – if they can persuade him to sign. And the Norwegian hopes Scott Brown’s decision to pen a long-term deal will persuade the striker to stay for glory rather than leave for cash. On-loan Guidetti’s form has alerted a host of clubs in England and Europe to his availability as a free agent next summer when his City contract expires.

The Hoops are keen to avoid a wages auction for his services – and the manager insists their best chance of landing him will be to exercise their “option to buy” when the window opens. He said: “With every player we bring in on loan we try to have an option to buy.

“That’s why we know what it will cost. It could be harder at the end of the season. This decision has to be taken before that.

Can't see it happening. Some other club will offer him more money than we can.

Thought i'd even it up then and say he'll sign for us because the adulation he receives from TGFITW isn't something he will experience somewhere else and the chance to play in a 60,000 seater stadium on memorable European nights, not to forget regularly lifting domestic silverware, will far outweigh the cash money at some other no-mark club who don't have the rich history and trophy-laden cabinets that we do.

At least, I imagine that's how it will be sold to him.

One of the risks in signing players on loan

A huge risk if most of your signings are loans

I believe that will genuinely help the situation. One of mates (non Tim) said the very same thing today.

By all accounts Larsson is his idol, i'm hoping Henke will tell him to cool his jets a bit and sign a 3 year deal at Celtic, he's still only 22, so if he bides his time and becomes a hit with us then the English clubs will come calling and he'll earn big money for a good few years, more than enough to compensate for having spent 3 years in Glasgow.

He has a massive ego and who better to massage that than us.

plus, don't forget we will be getting close to trebling his wages. I hear we have a really good chance.

Signing for Celtic shows a massive lack of ambition and a step backwards for the lad.

When Larsen signed for Celtc then they at least had a decent team and decent competition in the league but now, the SPFL is akin to the 3rd tier of England now.

And what player is any ilk wants to be tarred with the "I used to play for Celtic" brush, now that the Club is intrinsically linked with Racism, Bigotry and *****philia?

I can see him leaving Lieswell on tender hooks until the end of the season before ****ing off home to Italy.
yes, tenter hooks and he's Swedish but some **** will bite

No doubt Guidetti's feelings too as he plays in front of 20k at the San Giro.

Lieswell isn't called Lieswell for nothing. The inbred mhutants haven't been going to the Knew Camp ever since Mother's day 2006.

    Disgusting.
