Okay, so we are having a little bit of a blip at the moment, our performances not getting the results they deserve (Newcastle smash and grab!) But just look at the table below!

    14 Swansea 32 -6 39
    15 Aston Villa 31 -9 34
    16 Bolton 31 -27 29
    17 QPR 31 -19 28
    18 Blackburn 32 -24 28
    19 Wigan 32 -27 28
    20 Wolves 32 -36 22

Would we have taken this at the beginning of the season? Too f***ing right we would! Our goal difference effectively means we are 12 points from relegation – not bad for a team universally tipped for automatic relegation before the start of the season from those ‘experts’ in the media!

We have exceeded all expectations and if we fail to get a single point (unlikely) from our remaining games, then I would still maintain that it has been an excellent season. As a team we have grown from game to game, and picked up some amazing results along the way!

Am I proud to be a Jack at the minute? F**k yes!!!

Do I give a s**t about the comments of the knockers that say we are ‘all style without substance’? F**k no!!!

Am I looking forward to another season in the top flight, after renewing my ludicrously underpriced season ticket? F**k yes!!!

Have I enjoyed every second of our Premier League adventure – win or lose? F**k yes!!!

At the beginning of the season survival was the sole ambition, in my opinion we have achieved that, and everything from here on in is a bonus! So let’s get behind our team and cheer them over the finishing line – would love to finish as high as possible, but would take 17th and be very happy with that! It’s the Premier League FFS and we have not looked out of place in it – not a single team has humiliated or dominated us – we have matched everyone and looked comfortable against teams full of overpriced ‘superstars’! Don’t it make you proud? Certainly does me!

So to all you ‘glass half full’ Swansea knockers out there – ‘get a life!’ We have marched through the lower divisions and comfortably coped with all the top flight has thrown at us – am I proud of our boys? F**k yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <cheers>

Been out on the piss tonight and a mate asked what had happened to us. Well, he got a right royal dressing down.

if your happy about the last three games then your easily pleased thats all i can say, its lucky we played better earlier on than the dross we are playing now as many are now saying......we are not safe yet remember and i dont want us to get lucky and rely on others to make us safe when we are more than capable of doing it ourselves ......

Everyone knows the Swans these days . Most British fans are jealous of Swan fans . Most dream of a team run like the Swans on & off the pitch . 5 seasons of relentless success within the confines of fiscal responsibility , with the 6th season being the 2nd in a row in the Premier . Never mind the pot , some will need to smell the whole plantation to wake up to what they have in the way of a club .... most would say Swan fans are the luckiest fans around but most would also say luck has nothing to do with team play . Been a half decade of pure joy for me up to & including last game .

Don't forget that it wasn't just the 'experts' that predicted relegation. MOST Swans fans also expected them to get relegated or nearly relegated. To some of it it was always obvious that they would stay up. They are far too good a team. What I don't undertsnad is why many/most Swans fans don't realise this.

Casual we will always have doom merchants who love nothing more than to moan / complain even if we were in the top 6 they would still find something, what brilliant thread agree with 100% lets just sing and support our boys all the way to the finish line as they have done us proud. who are we jack army :):):)

Totally agree, were safe but would like another three points tucked nicely in our pockets.

Dai, seriousley, WTF are you on? This is the first time in our FIRST season in the PL we have lost three on the bounce. We continue to get plaudits for the way we play (Harry Redknapp, Toon fans, Spurs fans most recently). Yes we have struggled a bit in nthe final third recently, but we are renown for having a blip come the end of the season.

About time some people woke up and smelt the coffee, were doing great!

Yes - if easily pleased means we are Premier League next season then bring it on! Dai, chill out FFS! 'Dross we are playing now!!!?' We are playing the same way we have been all season - but we don't have a divine right to beat teams like Everton, Spurs and Newcastle - they are established Premier League sides, but we more than held our own against them and could, maybe should, have picked up a couple of points!

But I am not going to slag the team off for that - and neither should you. But I agree with you that we are capable of picking up the points to ensure safety without relying on others; but if we don't, will be more than happy to survive due to the failings of the teams around us!

Let me ask you a question - would you have taken our position now before the season started? I know I would have - I have enjoyed every second of this season, win or lose, and have to pinch myself when I think of how we have progressed in the last decade! From almost dropping out of the equation to competing with some of the best teams in the world, and not being dominated by any one of them! So what if we have lost three on the bounce - we are still in a very healthy position and punching well above our weight - would love to pick up points in our remaining games, but if we don't would be quite happy to survive due to the failings of other teams!

if we survive due to the skin of our teeth then its been a failour........the goalpost moved months ago when everyone was talking about a top half finish. ever since the fulham game we have been in relegation mode so what do you do you move the goalpost back to make you feel better ..<doh>
