As an avid Cardiff City fan, for a very long time, and on the eve of the Premier League opening, I wish Swansea City all the best for the new season.

We host Bristol City, they travel to Manchester City, and I suppose it could have been us! <wah>

As much as I wished Blackpool the luck to survive last season, I wish the Swans the same.

In case of nerves for the challenge ahead, I thought I would link the following to you which might bring some light relief....All the best!<applause>

Much the same as you Snaggs - far more concerned with the Championship season. The only thing I'd like to see in the Prem is someone outside the "Big 4" win the title, and a few more clubs break up that top 4/5 cartel that has become such a bore.

As a Man City fan I want them to win, this would be the case if they were playing any other team except Cardiff City, it will be interesting to see how the promoted teams do this season, I think they will struggle, as most promoted teams do.............apart from that I don't really care, if I had to pick one of the teams to stay up, well I'd go for the swans because of the Welsh connection........but it means very little to me TBH

Id rather have a beer and a chat with a Swansea fan than a plastic Liverpool , Man U fan etc.

The genuine Swansea fans who were there when they had 2000 each week deserve their moment of glory and good for them that the same as us they have built up their fan base.

Being honest though hope they lose and get relegated. Just rivalry. Dont want them to go bust or end up in League 2. Just be a good laugh watching them go down. Saying that if they do well I wont lose any sleep over it. Its just a game of football.

They will be in the bottom 5. But with Norwich and QPR I think almost certain to go down Swansea may have a chance. The Wigan game for them is a big one.

If Malky gets top 8 hes done a great job after the mess Jones left.

That will leave us in a great position to kick on to where we belong.

Understand the sentiment Hilts, but the mess DJ left us in was far less than the mess he inherited. He got a bit desperate at the end but overall did us proud.

As for the Swans, if they stay up, well done, if they come down, tough luck. It's not going to affect our league position.

I'd support Sparkey's comments that it would be good to see a changing of the guard at the top. Not sure about Man City though Proph, wouldn't want someone to buy the title.

Like Blackburn bought the title, like Chelsea did, like Man Utd have done many times. it's wrong, but the rules haven't changed, just the prices <ok>

When I was just a tot, I can always remember Everton being called "The Millionaires Club". Didn`t get them too far!

Agree with all you points Proph. I still don't like the fact. It's the reason I don't want Leicester to go up this season.
