We currently have a squad of 26 so if we had a first team and a reserve team that would be 22 players so we could get rid of 4 and spread the wage saved amongst the restby way of a achievment BONUS. With the academy progressing etc we could top up from here if too many injuries etc and these players would be on much lesser wages. outside of the top 10 premier league clubs every team has about 6 or 8 really really good players and thats what we should build on say 8 players ....they need to be around for the next 3-4 years as they are the core My list would be.. Adomah Kelly, Cunningham, Anderson, (Kilkenny) Baldock Davis Taylor......IN no PARTICULAR ORDER and would all be on the best money on 4 year contracts Players good for the next 18 month's ( to the next 2 and a half seasons plus / minuss) Stead Foster (Pearson) Nyatanga Elliot Skuse Wison J Reid Edwards Burns ........each week this where our team should come from....( ) brackets cant make up my mind Carey, Fontaine etc will get chances as they can be part of the subs regime...I think SOD has seen enough with what he has that he will stick till the season end Heaton, Foster, Carey, Fontaine, Cunningham, Kelly, Skuse, Kilkenny (Burns 72), Pearson (Davies 78), Anderson (Stead 65), Taylor Subs not used: Gerken, Nyatanga, Wilson, Elliott Has Baldock and Adomah to add to this line up and that is 2 very strong additions
I agree with your first list. of your second list I would only retain Skuse. Burns, Reid and Foster. Sorry except Killkenny... not him... no.
If we were to get relegated the only players I would keep Heaton Cunningham Fontaine (I know but in league 1 he would be a great player no doubt) Adomah (he won't be here though) Anderson Kelly Skuse Elliott Davies Baldock Taylor Reid Burns with these players I would field ---------???? ???? ???? And Liam Fontaine is not good enough for either list? Not that I think he is particularly brilliant but he keeps getting picked ahead of Nyatanga
