Basically the same as City, no real reason to change it up!

Any changes you would make? Start with Aspas? Skrtel and Toure/Agger switch?

Same team that did well against City.

  3. Aspas was unnoticeable when he came on. Fair enough, he only had ten minutes but there was nothing to suggest he should start the next match.

Trying to get some debate G!

He does need to start producing, really isn't a young unfinished article and he showed glimpses of good link up and movement early in the season. Still would have a look at Toure and Sakho, just think that would be boss. Not bashing Skrtel, even though he isn't for me, but just think of the pairings that would be the best ( Toure & Sakho).

  5. Skrtel was my MOTM for us yesterday and I'm his biggest critic at times <laugh>

I think we need Skrtels strengths against Chelsea. They have Terry and Ivanovic who are both very good at set-pieces. Agger is our worst CB at marking.

Let's hope he tries to get good position and jump with them as if he tries to just tussle with them, he will lose that battle as well, especially with Ivanovic.

Think this game will be a draw btw. Not sure why, just think it will be a squib kind of game.

  7. I went for 2-2 on prediction thing but going to change it as Mourinho won't allow them to be that open.

If you went for a win at first, I saw nothing in the City game to make you think we're any less capable of getting one, tbh. We matched City throughout the game and deserved a draw at least. Chavs are nowhere near as good as them but will try to strangle the life out of the game probably.

I think it is mainly do to Mourinho. He had such a voodoo in the league over us. Rafa could get him in the CL but in the league, under Mourinho, they alwasys seemed to have the perfect gameplan for us. Will be intersting.

Also to note, Judging from the training pics today, seems the players who played yesterday got a rest. Loads of youngsters training with the first team though so that should help with those young lads confidence.

Mourinho will park the legendary blue bus and try for the counter. can't believe the chavs prefer this boring **** over Rafa!

I'd look at replacing cissoko with, well, anyone really as he looks pretty crap. <laugh>

I would drop Skrtel for Agger. Skrtel's shirt pulling will be in the spotlight now and if anyone can put pressure on a referee to give penalties its Mourinho.

Salmon Flanagan is out... Jose Enrique is out... think we're stuck with Cissoko for this game.

Well there are other options..you could play Agger there or move Johnson over (think he's better at left back although that's not saying much) and bring Kelly in which would give us more height. Or move Johnson and play toure at right back.

  15. This is more what I was thinking. Kelly at RB with Johnson moved to LB. Keep Skrtel and Sakho in the middle. Rest of the the team to stay the same.

I actually thought Cissokho had is best game for us yesterday which says a lot that I still think he doesn't deserve to remain in the line-up!

Would put Agger in for Skrtel. I know Agger has a tendency to zonal mark vs. follow his man, but Skrtel hasn't been jumping for the ball lately. Agger provides much more stability in setting up attacks.

But to be honest it's not going to make much of a difference. Toure and Sakho could be a shout too.

Agreed with the Kelly shout. Cissokho was nervous on the ball a lot and kept passing back instead of sending it forward. Though he wasn't as bad as his first few appearances.

Toure in for Skrtel, maybe Kelly in for Johnson. Skrtel is a liability at set pieces, spends more time fouling than stopping his opponent getting their head on the ball. I think set pieces is going to be our biggest problem with the likes of Ivanovic, Terry and Cahill in the box, I'd be much more comfortable with Kelly and Toure defending them than Skrtel and Johnson who both have a long record of losing their men at set pieces.

  19. Obviously, I want all Liverpool players to do well and I'd like nothing more than for Skrtel to shake these shirt pulling / grabbing shackles off and be the player he can be. However, hearing people wanting out the team for antics is like music to my ears #onlytooktwoyearsbutwegotthere
