With Laudrup saying that he wanted a smaller squad of only 22-23 players, it seems like we're actually trying to make the squad bigger. We seem to be signing lots but not getting rid of many at all. How many need to go to get the number down to 22-23? How many do you think will actually leave? With only 10 days until the transfer window closes, it seems we are leaving it a bit late, unless we suddenly get a rush of players leaving.
I assume there are things going on behind the scenes but agree it's time to ship some out. The only we've heard of being on the brink of leaving is Dobster
i agree id assume there would be a few going out on loan till january then probably the option to extend loan or buy i suppose.
When are we sending Casual back out on loan? that's what I'd like to know! I'm sure Kairdiff would be his best option.....................
Good point, Casual. We're getting bigger, not smaller but that isn't lost on Laudrup I'm sure. I suspect there will be a number of clubs queueing up to take some of them on loan. Players who know they're not going to get near the 24 odd core will be glad to go out for game time if they have any drive at all, and we benefit as a club.
A few of them on contract who wont get much of a look in will need to assess the situation. wages may be a stumbling block and are they willing to take a pay cut...leeds were interested in lita but thats gone quiet, Jazz i would suggest he needs to go out on loan as i wont want to sell him and as he would not be on high wages with us then a good championship club like cardiff even would benefit jazz,us,and cardiff. any championship club to be honest....we cant force players on contract to leave but if they want to play football then they will have too....
Casual has a point.... with his usual negative slant, but a point !!! No doubt we will have loans going out, but also Championship clubs know the money we have and will leave it til last minute to batter us down. I expect we will see at least 5 go before now and the in first month of the loan market. PS Casual, ever fancied posting a positive or good news thread once in a while? You may find you get less stick!
I can't see anything negative at all about the post. If we are growing the squad then the wage bill is rising, which is bad for the club. As it was ML that said he wanted a squad of 22-23 players, I'm just wondering when we will start shipping some of the fringe players out. Please explain what's negative about that. I posted a positive thread about the South Korean guy coming, but got slagged off for that as well, so it doesn't really matter what I post. Maybe you need a lesson in how to tell the difference between positive and negative posts. In this case it's neither; it's just a neutral post.
i would think dobbie is 99% gone, if i had i choice between lita and moore would prefer lita gone, whats happening with young donnelly and situ, how good are they looking in the reserves, and who is the dude who plays for wales and cant get a gig at swansea?
