Well, that is that.
I hope the average 50 odd of you who have looked
at the stats each week/report have found it time well spent.
I've done this as accurately/professionally as I would
in the "day job" (sadly not fully automated - I think the
Spurs assisted/direct goal measures are messed up
due to accrued "copy/paste" error
) .
My "executive summary" would be that this stuff tells
you about performance, but has very little in terms
of "actionable information" (the data source used does
not provide what would be required) .
That aside, IMHO there are aspects to go thru, and so I shall ...

but a 59% increase in results.
The stats show that the Spurs defence was not
victims of headed goals or OG (those measures
imptoved) , or of free/corner kicks (that was
effectively unchanged) , or conceding penalties
(a negligible increase) .
The Spurs defence was simply passed through in open play.

results, but I suspect that this measure may well be a KPI for a team
that wants to be champions, finish in the top 4 etc.

(if the total is increasing then the number of on target attempts
that a GK cannot reach may also be increasing accordingly) .

Not one player in the top twenty for playing under pressure sums up how porous our midfield was often found to be - and this is not a new issue, it goes back to the days of the Winkssoko pivot, and yet in spite of many and various changes in midfield personnel since then if an opponent presses our midfield our passing goes off a cliff
True there are a couple of extenuating circumstances for this, first of all Conte's tactics invite pressure onto our midfield so that is always likely to skew the results downwards (or further downwards...), but it also has to be said if Bissouma played in his more natural role instead of the ersatz Kante role that Conte envisioned for him it is possible that he and/or Bentancur could have crept onto this list
But make no mistake, our midfield's lack of press resistance has been an issue ever since Dembele started to break down and has never been adequately fixed
